| Objective To evaluate the effects of virtual reality (VR)-based motor cognitive co-intervention on the cognitive function of patients with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Methods The search encompassed eight databases such as Cochrane Library?PubMed,CNKI ,WanFangData for randomized controlled trials from the establishment of the library to September 2024 on the effect of virtual reality-based motor cognitive co-intervention on the cognitive function of mild cognitive impairment (MCI). The quality of the included literature was evaluated and Meta-analysis was performed using RevMan 5.4 Results A total of 9 papers were i-ncluded, including 327 patients. Meta-analysis results showed that virtual reality-based motor cognitive co-intervention helped to improve overall cognitive function [I2= 75%,SMD=1.07 ,95%CI(0.50,1.64), P<0.001] and executive function [I2=0%,MD=-8.52,95% CI(-14.55,-2.48), P<0.001], but the difference was not statistically significant in memory function [I2=0%,SMD=-0.02,95% CI(-0.59,0.54), P=0.94]. Conclusion Virtual reality-based motor cognitive co-intervention helps to improve the overall cognitive function of patients with mild cognitive impairment, and the intervention effect of dual-task mode is more significant compared with sequential mode; virtual reality-based motor cognitive co-intervention also improves the executive function, but further research is needed in memory function. |
