| Abstract: The Shanghai Nursing Association released the group standard "Kangaroo Nursing Method" on May 11, 2024, which specifies the Kangaroo nursing method, including basic requirements, preparation before implementation, skin-to-skin contact, breastfeeding support, observation, and recording. The article interprets the recommendations provided in the group standard in order to help medical staff and other caregivers engaged in the care of premature infants or low birth weight infants at all levels and types of medical institutions better understand and implement the standard. |
