| In January 2024, the German Diabetes Gesellschaft (DDG) publishedthe DDG Clinical Practice Guidelines: Dietary Recommendations for Persons wi-th Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus , aiming to provide scientific guidance on the die-tary management of persons with type 2 diabetes mellitus to help them achiev-e better glycemic control, weight management and overall health.This article f-ocused on the content of the guidelines, providing a detailed interpretation of b-oth the overview of the "Guidelines" and the dietary recommendations for pati-ents with type 2 diabetes.It also offered reflection and summary, aiming to ass-ist nursing staff in better understanding and application of the guidelines,prom-oting standardized dietary management for patients with type 2 diabetes. |
