      Objective To explore the current situation of the readiness for hospital discharge and the quality of discharge teaching in diabetes patients,and analysis the correlation between two. Methods Cross-sectional study, using the patient's basic information questionnaire , the readiness for hospital discharge scale and the quality of discharge teaching scale of diabetes in Chengdu, a former hospitals of 200 cases were investigated and discharged four hours.Results The average of readiness for hospital discharge was （8.13±1.37）points,The average of quality of discharge teaching was （8.60±1.32）points.The dimensions of patients with diabetes is ready to be discharged from the high assessment scores in the end were expected support,knowledge,coping ability,personal status.the readiness for hospital discharge and the quality of discharge teaching in diabetes patients were positive correlation（r=0.544，P＜0.01).Conclusions The current status of the readiness for hospital discharge in diabetes patients was in medium -high level,the readiness for hospital discharge and the quality of discharge teaching were positive correlation,hospital medical personnel should strengthen the guidance, to improve hospital readiness status of patients with diabetes, and reduces the readmission rate of the patients.
